CARDS Regional IPR Project

Seminar EF2: Enforcement Practice, 3-4 June 2004 - Zagreb

Objective

CARDS Regional IPR programme aims to:
Develop a training programme for attorneys, representatives and specialists in view of long term objectives of building an effective enforcement infrastructure in the five CARDS countries;
Moreover CARDS program aims to build up specialized high level training and to set up cooperation network for judges and public prosecutors policy and business world, as a part of an enforcement strategy in the field of Intellectual Property Rights.

This training should be specific and targeted at achieving a level playing field in the knowledge of IP rights, through establishment of collaboration with the CARDS countries, customs and police projects, and further development of training components for the police.

Participants

• Police officers (including relevant fiscal and/or economic police),
• Public Prosecutors,
• Business: brand protection managers, local management, identification experts
• Experts from Police and Public Prosecutor from other countries
